As it got more popular, I started focusing more on sex research, sharing interesting perspectives, and helping others. Now it’s more of a community, a melting pot. The provocative topics spark a lot of intelligent discussion.
Three years. It’s only taken a solid shape this past year.
I get about 1000 unique visitors a day.
Right now my goal is to increase traffic, then monetize via advertising and offering products. I have a donate and subscribe button on the site, thinking my readers would support my grassroots effort, but that flopped. So as of right now, it’s still a labor of love.
I pay my mortgage by doing odd jobs, figure modeling, sex consulting. No steady income, no insurance, which freaks me out sometimes, but I love the freedom and flexibility. I get to BE MYSELF and live life on my own terms.
My blog is a safe haven for perverts and offers something for anyone who is curious about sex. Half of my readers are average people leading average lives who read my blog for inspiration. They are living vicariously through me. The other half are sex freaks like me who like hanging out virtually with like minded people.
I was spending 8 hours a day on it, but am cutting back to 2.
There’s something for everyone – I’ve had a lot of people tell me they hate blogs and don’t read them, but confess to me that they clicked “older posts” on mine because the unique topics captivated them.
A lot of my readers appreciate the opportunity to exercise their inner pervert, acknowledge it, take on an alter ego and have fun with it.
I don’t do bored. My goal is to live a rich and beautiful life. I want to spread the joy and help people loosen up and work the kinks OUT!
