The daily ins & outs of the life of a babywearing stay at home mom of 3 boys. She’ll make you think. She’ll make you smile. She wears her babies (or they wear her- we’re still not so sure.)

I am a mom 24/7 and am in the business of wiping counters, butts, & noses. Blogging is my therapy and I long for the day that I can do it uninterrupted. But in the meantime the kids make for some very good blogging material!

I began to chronicle my life as a mom and especially focusing on my youngest baby just as a way to keep a record of our lives and keep in touch with family and friends. I found there not to be a lot of info about being an informed parent and enjoy stirring the pot every once in a while, too. I also enjoy being a typical mommy blogger and want to remember the clever things my kids say.

I started Adventures In Babywearing in December 2005.

Currently it’s an average of about 480 per day. Weekdays are high traffic days (all the stay at home moms hop on the computer as soon as Dad leaves for work!)

I have a minimal income from ads in my sidebar paid via Paypal. That is great because it doesn’t require any work on my part, just managing the space. I find that the pay-per-click ads aren’t really worth it, but they don’t take up much space. I also am not fond of pay-per-post blogging. It’s just not for me and doesn’t fit my writing style. I do receive products for free to review, which works nicely for me!

My blog has got a little bit for everyone. Definitely the Mommy & Daddy crowd and parents-to-be. I’ll be inspirational one day and then talk about my hair the next. Anyone new to living a greener life and being a more educated parent might also find my blog of interest.

I can be found blogging sporadically throughout the day. The largest amounts of time are spent in the morning and evening when the kids are sleeping. I spend probably a good 2 hours blogging per day at least.

I’ve always got something new to talk about and it will probably be different than the day before. Somedays I’m really “up” and then I have been known to be open about my occasional depression. Lately I’ve had lots of fun product giveaways each week ,too.

I would recommend writing just like you talk, and don’t force it. If you aren’t “feeling it” then don’t blog it. Be considerate of what you say about the people you love, especially your spouse and children. They will probably read your blog someday. Be friendly and polite and comment on other blogs. The blogging community can be a wonderful thing! If you are interested in getting paid to blog, make sure you post every day and join blog rings to get your blog noticed.
