I am a writer and a photographer. Neither by trade. I love to review movies, shows, and others’ work, though I am not an official critic by trade. [let's get real though, wouldn't that be a fantastic occupation?] In short, I am just one who lives vicariously through the talent of others while striving daily to find the tact lost somewhere along the way.

This is completely a hobby for me. I simply love to write, and find that when I find the incessant need to comment on everything while watching Biggest Loser or the Oscars, a running commentary must ensue. In reality, it has more to do with my need to let it out than the hope that you will read it.

I started the blogging because, silly as it sounds, it makes my heart smile a bit. I enjoy getting it out there into the void. Sometimes I find myself talking in my head in a “Meg Ryan from You’ve Got Mail” voice as I narrate, and it turns into a blog shortly thereafter.

A few years. West Coast Girl’s 3rd Birthday is May 17th of this year!

About 100 or so… I haven’t bee quite regular lately…

I have done the ads before, and I like it, but It would be easier to gain money from it when I get more hits. I am not so concerned with that yet, to be honest.

I seem to get those into pop culture, books, shows, art. Artsy people- we call them. But mom’s seem to like it too, which is funny. I don’t have kids or anything…

Maybe you should ask my husband that question…um…honestly, I try to keep it down, but I am getting faster at it – I have spent a few hours at a time, but it is usually like 15-20 minutes now.

Hopefully, it will be a good read and you will have fun things to add to the conversation that I prompt! I like to laugh at things that are out there, or make observations… I enjoy when others have opinions on similar things that I do.

Find a niche and be yourself. I sometimes get caught up in what others do and I feel inadequate to be blogging at all because I don’t feel funny enough or cute enough or even creativey/crafty enough. That is stupid. Blogs are for reading and sheer enjoyment. Love it, but make it yours!
