Blogging Experiment is exactly that, an experiment about making money blogging. I’m trying to take a brand new blog from earning nothing, to earning a full time income in only one year’s time. I’m documenting the journey each and every step of the way so that anyone can duplicate my success or failure.
I’m actually an SEO by day. This blog is a hobby of mine but by the end of the experiment… who knows?
I’d been reading several different blogs about making money online that say they teach people how to do what they did. My only problem was they all seemed to start out with a fairly large audience due to their previous online successes. So, I figured why not try to create something entirely from scratch that can act as a step by step guide to anyone willing to put in the time and effort.
I started forming the idea in early May and started working on some content shortly there after. I officially launched the blog on the 4th of July.
With such a new blog it varies drastically from day to day but on average I’d say between 1-200. Of course social media jacks those numbers up occasionally.
So far I’ve made just over $50 from my blog almost totally from Text Link Ads’ affiliate program.
Anyone interested in the make money online niche or bloggers looking for ways and examples of how to make money with their blogs.
It really depends on the day (weekend or weekday etc) but I’d say on average about 2 hours per day.
To follow along with the experiment of course. I really have no idea where this thing is headed or whether or not I’ll succeed and I think that makes it a fairly compelling blog.
Write as much as possible but don’t settle for mediocre posts. Not everything you write will be good enough to publish but getting into the pattern of writing all the time is key. Content really is King.
