Worldman- Peter Voegtli

I call mayself “Worldman”. Because I am roaming in the world since 40 years. With my blog I like to share some of my life. A write about the world, the people, about you, about me, about anything.

I am a civil servant (for the Swiss Government)engaged in humanitarian work. It is many times a though job and blogging is a nice means for me to let the steam off.

Many people said to me that I should write a book. I am not a good writer and lack time. So, blogging is a good “vehicle” to tell what I would like to say.

I habe started in February 2006. During the first 6 month I could not post a lot because I had limited and poor quality access to internet.

It varies. Basically I have a minimum of 20 visitors per day, but is has gone a high as 70. I started to count in January 2007 and have since then about 8′500 visitors.

I tried. But it took to much time and did not bring much. And then, I don’t want to make an income of my blog. I want people to read it because they like it. Right now I have two “money” links on the blog: “PayperPost” and “Agloco”. And have the firm intention to take them “off”. There is also an Amazon link but here eventual earnings go to charity. I put the link because Amazon is great.

I think that my blog is of interest to a wide range of people. From everywhere. Proof of this are “my favorite blogs” on my site. I have choosen them carefully. They are all with different, interesting backgrounds.

It depends on my professional occupation. During the week it would be around 2 to 3 hours per day. On weekends it can reach 5 hours per day.

Perhaps because it could interest people. It is not a blog that will change the world. But it could please you because I try to be simple and write about things that just come to my mind.

Be patient when you start a blog. Continue to blog even if you have only a few visitors per day. The community will eventually grow. And use mybloglog.com. And blogexplosion.com will help also.
