I’m a software developer full time, but I used to own a business designing surveillance equipment. I use this knowledge to review and discuss spy equipment available in the public domain.

I’ve had a strong interest in surveillance gadgets for several years. I decided to share this knowledge with everyone on the Web! I also wanted to help people save money on buying equipment, as prices for spy gear can often be inflated to silly prices.

I started the blog in April 2006, so I’ve been going for 16 months now.

On average, I get 700 unique visitors a day, but I’ve recently seen peaks of 2100 visitors a day.

My main income is from Google Adsense, with some additional income from gadget affiliates. Conventional banner and link Advertising has been a disappointing income stream due to the very specific niche area of Spy Review.

Anyone who likes gadgets really, although anyone involved in the security market would enjoy reading the blog.

I post on the blog Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, but I spend lots of time researching products. So around an hour a day for Spy Review specifically.

Spy Gadgets really are strange devices, and so you can get advice on how to protect your own personal privacy by being able to spot covert devices. You can also learn about security gadgets to protect your personal possessions too.

Keep a spreadsheet of your income and costs for running your site. You want to know when you’re making a profit. Also keep a dated log of when you change something and the effect it has on RSS subscribers, income or visitors to the site.
