What is your blog about?
It’s a daily journal of the Boston Red Sox from the perspective of a longtime diehard fan. I preview & recap each series and game, plus comment on situations surrounding the team and analyze player stats.
What do you do for a living?
I am a salesman by trade and a blogger by hobby, but I would love to make money from this labor of love.
Why did you start blogging about this?
I started my first blog, a general topic site called the Tampa Bay Bostonian, last August, and when I realized how much content I was devoting to the Sox, I knew I’d better create all-Sox site before this season began.
How long have you been working on this blog?
I started it in early March, right before the beginning of spring training.
How many visitors does your blog get per day?
Right now I average only about 30-40 hits per day, but thanks to some recent exposure I have seen the numbers start to climb.
What kind of person would be interested in this kind of blog?
A Red Sox fan of course, but also fans of baseball specifically and sports in general.
How much time do you spend blogging per day?
According to my wife, a lot!
I would estimate about five-six hours on game days, when I usually post three times and do a lot of research, and about an hour on off days, which, as any baseball fan knows, don’t come very often.
Tell us why we should subscribe to your blog.
For one it’s free, two it’s funny, and three it’s real.
Did I mention it’s free?
What advice do you have for other bloggers trying to succeed?
Post often or at least regularly.
As an avid blog reader I find there is nothing worse than checking daily/weekly and finding no new items to read.
