I am interested in science in general, neuroscience specifically. I mostly write about interesting research or news articles in various science fields; I especiallly like to comment on news or editorials that exemplify ignorance of or faulty reasoning about our accumulated scientific knowledge. In addition, I write periodically about parenting and religion.

Currently, I am a graduate student in a doctoral neuroscience program.

This blog started because, after several years of research, I finally decided to go back to school. I might as well put some of that knowledge to good use.

This is a rather young blog, only being around since 30 March 2007. The post frequency vaires from one per day to one per week (depending upon how much free time I have).

Visits to my blog vary. When I am not posting regularly (once per week) I get around 15 visits per day. When I have more regular posts, I have at times maintained a level of abou 500 visits per day.

I don’t receive an income for my blog, though I am not opposed to the idea. What seems to have worked best for getting word out about my blog is to post regularly, link to other blogs, and (something which I have no control over) get linked to by other blogs.

If you are interested in general science and specifically neuroscience, especially if you like to see how people incorrectly interprate scientific knowledge, then this is probably the blog for you.

Blogging time per day varies for me. I probably average an hour for each post I write, plus some time checking web traffic.

Well, it would make me feel better about myself.

My blog does have a pretty specific niche, so it is not for everyone. But if you subscribe to Scientific American, then you probably would like subscribing to my blog.
