life recycledMike Knapp

blogabout
Life Recycled is intended as natural outflow of thought, questions, humor and discovery as I experience life with God. There are many areas of my life that have been “recycled” by God’s forgiveness, love and faithfulness. Each area becomes a place that is more useful to Him and to others. While there is undoubtedly still a lot of junk in me needing to be recycled, I regularly depend on God’s grace to help me live a changed life. I hope you enjoy the blog and even find some things helpful and useful.

blogliving
I am a pastor and a church planter, one who handles new church startup. Blogging has become an important part of my work as a church planter. However, I enjoy it so much it feels like a hobby!

whystartblog
I began blogging Life Recycled as more of personal outlet, not caring whether anyone read it or not. I eventually “found my voice” as they say, and have used it as a connection point for people who are either involved in our new church or just checking it out to see what the “new guy” is like.

howlongblog
I’m relatively new to blogging. I only became serious about Life Recycled about 2 months ago when I downloaded WordPress and began blogging on our own website.

howmany
My original blog at Blogger.com only averaged 2 to 3 reads per week. I am now getting 7 to 10 per day, so it is growing nicely.

income
My blog does not have income. I have chosen the route of trying to offer things that are helpful on different levels and keeping a more personal and relationship-building approach. Given our venue, this only makes sense.

interestedblog
I try to make Life Recycled appeal to a broad audience. Typically Christians are my repeat guests, although I get non-Christians as well through my humor articles and the occasional just-for-fun stuff we do, like “Weird Word of the Week”.

howlongday
At this point I am still in a sharp learning curve, so I only try to post three times weekly. I spend probably an hour each day on promotion, technical learning, website tweaking and reading other blogs.

whysubscribeblog
My blog has a practical and often humorous approach to very serious matters. My intent is to offer you some practical, applicable help where life and faith intersect in daily life.

whatadvicebloggers
If you want to succeed as a blogger, help others. Focus on your readers’ needs. If you are only trying to get readers, followers or customers to your blog then that will bleed through. If you are genuinely seeking to be helpful, you will succeed.
