Woman of Experience- Ms Robinson

Ms Robinson
blogabout
Sex and the City with a cutting edge meets Dr.Phil with a sense of humour. Just call me the Goddess of Tough Love.

blogliving
Writing is what I do for a living: I used to be an advertising copywriter when it was seriously glamorous, then worked corporately doing speeches etc and now I ghostwrite. I suppose this blog is an extension of that. Or maybe it’s more like a shed at the bottom of the garden.

whystartblog
The standard of writing about relationships etc these days is just so poor and unchallenging. I am also sick of women portraying themselves as victims. You know we have chicklit books where the character takes 200 pages to figure out it’s ok to be alone. In 2007! So I decided Ms Robinson should give men and women the benefit of her experience.

howlongblog
All my life. You can’t fake this kind of experience you know. Actually I set it up in February 2007 but didn’t start posting until mid-May. That’s just the kind of devil may care girl I am.

howmany
In the peak season (not August) between about 130 and 160. When I wrote my parody of Girl with a One Track Mind I had about 230- 250 hits for a while. It’s been going up steadily.

income
Oh hell I’m not in it for the money. I do it for love. I am thinking of baking cookies and selling them off my blog: does that count?

interestedblog
I have to say that my core readers are an intelligent bunch. There is a fair split between men and women although the men seem to have gone silent in the past week and I’m worried about them. If you’d like to hear what the Goddess of Tough Love thinks about dating, oral sex, fat, breasts, self-entitlement and depression and you enjoy good writing you may like it.

howlongday
Oh I am constantly thinking about it and fretting. No, that’s a lie. I write pretty quickly so when I post usually between 30 and 45 minutes.

whysubscribeblog
Because you are intelligent, opinionated, thoughtful, humorous people who are bored with reading about group sex, cats vomiting and trains that don’t arrive on time.

whatadvicebloggers
I’m hardly an ‘A’ list blogge! Do you think you should ask me? As a writer I would advise anyone who writes to stick to what you know. And, in terms of blogging, r. emember nothing is really anonymous. Once it’s out there they will find you. Don’t get caught up in the blooging world too much either. Treat it as fun. It’s not really the place to dump your baggage although many do.
