Whozat is just your typical lesbian who met, fell in love with and moved half way across the country to be with the woman of her dreams, writing about life and their adventures in baby-making.

In the past, I’ve been a middle school teacher, a website/database developer, and worked for my state Democratic Party. I’m now Director of Education at a tutoring center. Blogging is just a hobby, but if you’d like to pay me for it, I’m willing to talk.

Extroversion
My motto is “If it’s in my head, it must come out of my mouth.” I think best when I think out loud, and between the job search and the baby plans and life in general, I’ve got a lot to think about these days. Shrike can’t be around all the time, and she gets really tired of listening to me when she is, so it helps to write it all out.
Exhibitionism
I seem to suffer under the delusion that there is something about our lives that is so fascinating that other people might be interested in hearing about it.
Hoppin’ on the Bandwagon
Everybody and their cat has a blog these days, and I was feeling left out.
Bored as Hell
Since I’m not working at the moment, I’ve got a lot of time on my hands, and I’m spending most of it sitting in front of the computer anyway, so I might as well do something semi-constructive with it.
Ego
Maybe this ties in with some of the above reasons, but when I write about something as mundane as what I cooked for dinner last night, and total strangers are moved to comment on it, that’s pretty darn cool.

This particular blog was starting in April 2007, but it includes several posts that were migrated from an earlier website of mine, which was online from 1999 to 2004.

No, unfortunately.

Anyone who enjoys “slice of life” blogs, appreciates a smart-ass sense of humor, or who is interested in reading about a lesbian couple’s journey to parenthood.

When I was unemployed, I spent several hours a day on it, but now it’s more like about an hour a day during the week, and maybe 2 or 3 hours per day on the weekend. Blogging expands to fill the time available.

I like to think it’s interesting, I’ve been told it’s funny, and you’ll be among the first to hear of any new developments in our baby-making adventures.
