The Mirthful Menagerie-Gina Waters

The Mirthful Menagerie is an amalgam of personal experiences and epiphanies, humor, creativity, and a little bit of a tribute to felines.

By day, I am a program administrator and academic adviser for a major university. Blogging is hobby and a real release for me.

I blog about many topics that interest me. In fact, I blog about ME all the time. Generally, I try to keep it light and fun. It’s in no way a diary, but I felt that I had too many thoughts in my head about a great many things. I needed to spill them out somewhere. And a blog was born.

I’ve been blogging for about 4 years.

I don’t have an official counter for my blog. But I would imagine that I get 10-15 visitors a day.

I do not have any income from the blog. Well, I mean, I have AdSense, which generates about as much income as raiding the couch cushions once a year.

The blog is basically genderless. Although I can’t imagine that any right-wing conservative types would find my blog entertaining at all.

I try to blog once a week, at least. Given my other responsibilities in life, I just can’t do it any more frequently than that.

Well if you like cats and knitting, then my blog is for you! Also, if you have a decent sense of humor and can see the value in a little self-mocking once in a while, then I might have what you’re looking for.

Just keep writing. The fact that you’re writing a blog is a success story itself. Sometimes it helps to join a group that you’re interested in. Word of mouth is the primary way to get noticed in a GOOD way. If you draw too much attention to yourself too soon, it could spell disaster, as most likely, it will be negative attention.
