Les Femmes is a Catholic blog that looks at a wide range of issues from a Catholic viewpoint that is orthodox and faithful to the magisterium. Since faith and morals are central to everything in life, there is no subject that cannot be discussed on the blog. Popular areas of interest to Catholics include life issues, morality, home schooling, women’s issues, politics, etc. all from the perspective of a faithful Catholic mother and grandmother.
Blogging is part of my apostolate of Catholic activism. All Catholics are confirmed as soldiers of Christ in the Church Militant called to evangelize for Christ. Blogging is a way to spread and defend the faith and promote the true, the good, and the beautiful. St. Augustine says that all of us desire God and our hearts are restless until they rest in Him. I blog about my personal journey to God and invite others to join me. It’s one exciting trip!
I began blogging about issues surrounding faith and morals because our culture is in moral free fall. All unhappiness is caused by sin and only God’s love can fill the human heart. Life is a valley of tears and suffering is unavoidable, but knowing, loving, and serving God can make suffering bearable and even a source of joy. That seems like a contradiction, but as one draws closer to the suffering Christ, he can understand how suffering can be redemptive.

The wide variety of issues discussed makes it of general interest to anyone who would like to examine life from a moral perspective.

St. Jerome says the unexamined life isn’t worth living. The blog invites people to seriously examine the issues of our day and to make moral judgments about them. For those interested in engaging the culture at a serious level, it offers information and suggestions.
Pick issues that you are passionate about. Do your homework. Make sure you are accurate. If you make a mistake, correct it quickly. Always be respectful in disagreements.
