Well, my blog is called chiffonesque because I write about the hints and tints that colour my thoughts. Nothing too strong or ardent. At least, that is how it has been thus far. Who knows about the future?

I work as an instructional designer for an e-learning company. Blogging is, at most times, a hobby. Sometimes, it is necessary though…the same way, any hobby is necessary.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, there is no ‘topic’ as such that I blog about. Some times when tedium sets in, when I want to try my hand a bit at creative writing, when I want to wash up the dregs of my mind and start afresh…that is when I blog. Sometimes, when I feel like crafting and composing a platter of thoughts, I blog.
My first post was after I returned from a trip. There are just some things that travel does to you. It opens up your mind to trying something new, it wipes off drudgery from perspective, etc. etc. It made me want to write more.

U think it has been close to two years now.

I can’t tell. And for some reason, I don’t want to keep track of these details.
If I were to think of my blog as something concrete, I’d like to think of it as a garden. Parts of it are finely cultivated, some portions have kitschy landscapes, a few spots have pretty tumbedowns with flowers, and a couple of ruins are thrown in for effect. And my garden has plenty of gates. It doesn’t matter where you enter, you’ll probably find a nook you’ll be happy in.
And even if no-one ever comes in, I have a garden with stories. Right now, to me, that is what matters.

No. I don’t earn from my blog.

I really don’t know. I suppose anyone who is probably having tea with a hot, buttered toast sprinkled with sugar and is probably looking for something to read to go with that kind of breakfast.

I don’t blog every day. It is really quite sporadic, so I can’t really say.

I though you had sent me a mail asking me to submit the interview.
Also, I’m sure you fancy hot, buttered toast sometime.

What does it mean for a blog to succeed? How do you know a blog has succeeded?
I suppose, as with any other kind of writing or any other part of life, it is important to define your idea of success and work towards it.
And, of course, it is important to read about what you know.
