All Things 2 All People- Orangeblossoms

blogabout
Herein you will find words about my personal, mundane, sometimes inspired practice of ministry in a medium sized mainline protestant church. You will also find the sensual reflections of a woman and a writer who is not always bound by the strictures and tenants of her faith.

Really, not to be dramatic: It’s all just me.

blogliving
I am a clergywoman. I have served churches for the last twelve years of my life. I love God. I write. I experience life with intensity. I love people. I care passionately for social justice. I don’t shy away from ambiguity or gray space.

whystartblog
I wanted to share more. I wanted a community outside of my church where I could bring more of my voice to life. Yet, I still cannot use my name without jeopardizing my ordination. So, I blog anonymously.

Off and on for two years…. I think?

howmany
I’m not sure. I suspect about five. I can’t even believe someone really said I was a favorite… I am glad, though, for this space and the gift it continues to be.

income
I write. The value is in the opportunity to find my voice and to use it.

Oh anybody who has ever wondered what the clergy are ACTUALLY thinking and doing behind those starched white collars and clerical robes. Many of us actually burp, fart, have sex, make messes, help people, and bungle our ways through countless difficult situations. But, most of us are afraid to talk honestly about it.

howlongday
Um. I have updated three times in the last 12 months. You do the math…

Well, first of all, I won’t clog up your reader with a lot of extraneous posts. I pretty much just put it out there when the Spirit moves me. You should read my blog and subscribe because honesty is rare and creativity is important. Also, because it’s kind of cool.

whatadvicebloggers
I don’t write for success. I write for myself. You should do the same.
