Companion to my weekly column at WorldNetDaily.com, my blog is conservative commentary, usually with a healthy dose of humor and satire, on news of the day and anything else that I think my readers might find of interest.

Write for a living (assignment and freelance)

I really enjoy following current events, politics and entertainment, and being able to comment on these things daily was what attracted me to blogging. It’s also a great way to hash out column and story ideas.

Approximately five years.

Anywhere between a hundred and a thousand per day, depending on many variables, such as which stories are picked up by Google News or Digg, etc.

I receive no direct income from my blog.

Anybody interested in politics/current events presented in a (usually) humorous way. Most of my readers are from the right side of the political aisle, but I do have readers with varying opinions who enjoy my blog.

About two hours.

Some of your readers might find it entertaining and I might be able to reach people who enjoy reading it — folks that I otherwise might not have reached.

The only advice I can offer is this: If you have a successful blog, get in touch with me to let me know how you did it!

A great daily read that keeps things fairly light, but still makes a profound point.

Absolutely fantastic! The only site I visit every day, without fail.

Doug’s blog is the best in satire. The point of all the articles is spot on also. Where does he come up with this stuff? I love the rapier (sp?) wit and I love the smell of scorched libral in the morning. Smells like … lower taxes? J

Whenever I need a laugh, I go to Doug’s blog. His keen wit never disappoints!
As an added benefit, I’m sure his humor drives the liberals absolutely crazy!

Doug’s blog is unusual in many respects. Most noteworthy is his ability to spell, alot of bloggers don’t bother with spell checker. i would call his blog comfortable to visit and I do go there every day,if he becomes tired of blogging he could always teach a class.
