The Deaf Edge is a sociopolitical blog covering the national Deaf Community. It focuses on the civil rights of the Deaf, and both political and cultural issues that are controversial.

I’m a college student majoring in Public Policy. The Deaf Edge is just a hobby of mine. It definitely keeps me busy, though!

I started The Deaf Edge because I saw an empty niche within the Deaf Blogosphere – nobody was discussing social, cultural and political issues in a clear, concise manner that had both opinion and facts in it.

The Deaf Edge originally was set up at the Blogger site in May 2006, but I didn’t start working on it as frequently until after I transferred my blog to WordPress in January of 2007.

I averaged it to approximately 15.

The Deaf Community, and any interested hearing persons who wants to learn about an unique culture and community right here in the United States.

It takes me about two hours at the most, to write a new entry, but I don’t write a new entry everyday.

It gives an insider and unique view of a very little-known minority smack-dab in America. If people want to explore another world, then subscribe to my blog!

Be yourself. Write what you know, and if you have passion for the topic, it will show in your blogging, and make it interesting to your readers.
