blogabout
I am the host of TalkingwithHeroes Talk Show Program. From Aug 17th through Sept 3rd myself and Jim Martin the CEO of Altitude.TV Cable Network went to Iraq. It was my third trip to bring back the positive stories about training the Iraqis and Progress. I do my best to not get involved in politics rather to give our military personnel an opportunity to share their mostly untold stories of helping people where they serve. On this third trip we interviewed US Army Corps of Engineers, North Dakota National Guard, Army Units from Ft Carson, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Civilian Contractors and Iraqis. We focused on progress in Iraq over the past six months and more. I submitted reports from Iraq along with pictures and Fbl a blogger was kind to take her time to post them for me on our New Blog. We are hoping that everybody who reads the stories will want to listen when the audio begins airing on the internet and that word will spread fast across America.

blogliving
I began my involvement of supporting our troops about a year after my then 18 year old daughter surprised me by enlisting in the Army. I left what I was doing in Kansas City to live by Ft Riley and now by Ft Carson and my life has not been the same since. I have never in my life lived so much in Faith that I am doing what I am supposed to do. As far as this being a job.. well I put in a lot more hours than anything I have ever done in my life but make no money. I actually ran out of money almost two years ago and rely 100% now on sponsors who are listed on our website. After three trips to Iraq seeing how our military live any sacrifice I may make pales in comparison to the sacrifice they make and that their families make.

whystartblog
Beth with SoldiersAngels.Org and an avid Blogger who goes under the name Fbl suggested that I write what was happening in emails and send them to her and that she would put them on a new blog for us. I am just learning about the millions who read blogs. I feel like I am in blog school:) I appreciate what Fbl has done for our troops in getting these stories out to all of you.

howlongblog
This blog was launched as I went over to Iraq Aug 17, 2007.

howmany
I am not sure how many visitors we have to our blog everyday but I am told it there are a lot. I will have to ask Fbl. I believe as more people find out about this blog word will spread.

income
This blog generates no income. We are open to readers who feel led to be sponsors to contact me but other than that there is no income generated.

interestedblog
I think all Americans would be interested to know that in fact there really is a lot of progress in Iraq and Afghanistan. The deaths and wounded that have resulted is horrible. I grieve everytime I hear of new tragedies. However our troops and civilians who are doing a great job over there would like for the American people to know that in fact there is a lot of progress. I think that all Americans would be intereted in reading this blog then listening when the full interviews are on the internet and later on cable then on DVD’s.

howlongday
When I was in Iraq I spent maybe an hour a day but that was dependent on being able to get on a computer. The person who spends the most time on this blog is Fbl.

whysubscribeblog
People should subscribe to this blog to hear about the other side of the Iraq story. As Paul Harvey has said for decades.. “And Now For The Other Side of the Story”. I think I quoted him right:) People all across America should want to know about the positives.. that there is progress.. that the training by our military and civilians is in fact working. The progress is what will bring our men and women home quicker and that will leave the Iraqis in a more stable country.

whatadvicebloggers
I am not sure what advice to give to other bloggers except have content that people will want to hear about.
