My blog is a little bit of everything, just like my life. There is some mommy stuff, some craft and sewing stuff, some very amateur photography, some political stuff, some genealogy, some personal stories and writing, and the occasional rant.

I am a stay-at-home mom, a term I hate because in actuality I am not at home nearly as much as I would like to be. I don’t work for pay but I do writing, public relations and consulting for my local Democratic party and its candidates.

I started my blog in 2005 after a friend started one. We were on a temporary assignment in California at the time and a blog was a great way to keep in touch with family and friends in the midwest as well as a way to journal our adventures on the West Coast.

I started it in June 2005, so almost 5 years.

Anywhere from 5 to 50. I rarely check my stats.

No, I didn’t start this to generate income and I have no plans to monetize it.

My mom and mother-in-law. LOL Well, people who scrapbook or sew, genealogists, moms (especially moms of boys), and possibly some people interested in politics.

Fifteen or 20 minutes. Although since the death of a dear friend last fall I am not nearly as consistent as I used to be. I hope to regain my mojo soon. In the meantime, I do what I can and try not to pressure myself too much.

If you don’t subscribe you could miss the post where I write something incredibly pithy or clever. It could happen.

Write what you know and read everything you can get your hands on.
