Life in as a British ex-pat in Japan with my family. Celebrations about what’s good in Japan along with rants about what’s wrong. Stuff about the family, trying to run marathons, the bizarre world of Japanese politics and anything else that comes up.

I’m Human Resources Manager at an international school in Tokyo. Blogging is a hobby.

Mainly to provide information about what I’m doing to family and friends in the UK so I didn’t have to write letters anymore. Also to record what I’ve done and things I’ve thought as I can never remember!

Arakawa Riverview will soon be 7 years old.

It was about 3 a day but for some reason since January 2010 it’s gone up to 80-100. I’m not complaining, the more the merrier.

Anyone interested in Japan, expats, kids and laughing at someone running

Not long and I don’t blog everyday – a long post will take about 1 to 1.5 hours to write and I write about once a week.

I can’t tell you why you should; read it and if you like it please come back.

Only write a post if you have something to say, if that means you don’t post for 3 weeks then fine, don’t post. If you try to force it you will write boring posts.
