I feel very honored that Blog Interviewer.com has given me the opportunity of sharing some of my thoughts with all of you. My blog is art for art sake and sharing ideas and graphic imagery. I love trying new techniques and sharing photo’s of my ideas and experiments. I wanted to share my passion for all kinds of art with others and blogging seemed the best way to reach lots of people. I truly feel that if you share what you love, you will benefit from others sharing with you.

I am retired from real world jobs and now I have my ideal job. I teach Altered Books and Mixed Media Art at Art Retreats around TX. This is my stress reliever, hobby, passion and joy.

I was so excited about getting my new Tim Holtz edge die cutters that I just had to share with others. I am having a ball exploring all the different ways I can use the edge cutters. The big dies are just wonderful also I would have posted more by now but I just got thru doing my annual Altered Book Retreat. Now that I am over that I can again start playing.

My first post was June 20, 2006 and I was a complete novice. Since then I have learned several things about blogging and blogging etiquette. There are so many sites that you can get blog backgrounds and banners but if you like designing your own that is an option also, just do a web search and see what you find. Blogging is kind of like my art you are limited only by your imagination.

I don’t check the number everyday but when I do it could be any where from 40 to 200. On the day I posted about my “new toys” from Tim Holtz collection I got 411 visitors that was a very good day.

No my blog doesn’t provide me with an income it’s strictly a art sharing blog. I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around.

Someone who does paper arts, mixed media art or altered art of many kinds. Since I teach an annual Altered Book Retreat you will find many examples of my altered book work here. I also put up free graphics to share so anyone who uses images in their art could visit my blog.

I haven’t ever timed myself, I just blog when I have things to share, that might be everyday or only a couple of times a week. When I put something up it’s usually about 30 minutes, I want to share photo and just a few words so I can move back to creating.

I try to stay on top of what is the latest things going on in the paper arts, mixed media and altered arts world. I don’t always use things the way they were designed to be used so I hope people might see and idea that jogs their muse. I am happy to share what I have done and my experiences.

Keep your blog fresh by that I mean try new things and post them or take challenges and post them. As long as you keep your art blog 95% just art people will keep visiting your blog.
