I post notes on all forms of contemporary art. I look for things that excite me: crazy or unusual or plain brilliant works, controversial installations, unusual ideas or just shockingly beautiful images. I sometimes write something about the works, about what is it about a certain work that makes me tick, while other works are left as such.
I’m an artist, mainly in the performing arts, I also teach theater and performance, and occasionally write for magazines and newspapers.
I was making some research on performance art and couldn’t find anything interesting on the net. Instead, I found loads of fascinating contemporary art I had no idea about. And off it went.
Over two years now.
Recently about 800 -1000 entries, though it varies a lot. Whenever I put something on sex in art, I get thousands

Yes, I use Adsense. It’s been great in covering the costs of the ink in my computer. No, seriously, it covers the monthly expenses of my drinking habit. Which I fortunately hardly have. I also had an offer of a paid ad, which I forgot to accept (thanks for reminding me!).
This is a blog for someone who enjoys surprises. Before starting this, I had no idea how many startling initiatives are out there. So you can get some “specialized” art theory kind of writing, but if you’re more into strolling along and bumping into something very smart someone created, you might just find something for you.
Oh, this is so relative. I consider this research for my art, so it varies a lot. I sometimes don’t write for quite a while (especially when I have too much work), but I have weeks when I’m on a few topics at the same time nearly non stop. So then it can go up to 5-6 hours…
Come on – what sort of a question is that? If you like it, you subscribe! Either it speaks for itself, or my words are plain silly salesmanship. I’m not here for the sales.
