I am a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic. It’s a 24 hours a day “job” in the most non-traditional sense of the word “job”.

The experience of a Peace Corps volunteer is uniquely challenging, and interesting. There are accomplishments (and defeats) that you will likely not see in any other workplace/living arena. Being able to share our lifestyle with others back in the U.S. and around the world is also one of the goals of the Peace Corps: to promote a better understanding of the peoples we serve.
