My blog is a random menagerie of sarcasm, mockery, and ranting about my life, people, the news, or really anything that that ticks my trigger on any particular day while trying to adjust to the fact that yes, I do live in Kentucky and no, I won’t die from it.

This is my hobby, though it’d be fantastic if it one day paid the rent. But for now. I work in academia, doing a lot of website work, data entry, as well as marketing & advertising.

I started blogging initially back in 2006 as a way to just pass the time while in college. I’ve had several blogs since, all along the same lines/theme, and I was on a hiatus for awhile as I was relocating and trying to find a real job. I like making people laugh, I love writing (high five to the ol’ creative writing degree!) and as long as people keep reading, I’ll keep blogging.

As I said before, I’ve been blogging since 2006. But pertaining to The Redhead Blogette, which I’m hoping is now a permanent fixture in my writing life, was started back up in February 2010. My most recent hiatus was due to a multitude of reasons, 40% adjusting to an ‘adult’ career and 60% of it adjusting to Louisville.

Because I have recently started back up, my visitors per day have been around 125-150 per day. I’m hoping though that over the next several months, it picks back up to where it usually is, around 500 hits a day.

Hahaha if my blog had an income, I wouldn’t be living in my water-plagued apartment, which includes leaking dishwashers, self combusting water heaters, and the drunk asshat upstairs who likes to turn on the shower and then pass out, thus flooding my apartment through the fans in the ceiling when I wake up in the morning.

Anyone that’s looking for a good laugh. I talk about work frustrations, the fact that I’m almost 26 and still babysitting as way to not make me feel like such a lame ass on a Saturday night. I talk about how I joined Junior League to make friends, and complain when I have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn to do a community service project (it’s not the project I hate, it’s waking up on a weekend).I talk about my family and my friends, or how one day I was totally spit on by a homeless person because all I had in my pockets to give him were my car keys and an iPhone-and he wasn’t getting either.
You have to have a good sense of humor to read my blog. It would also help if this sense of humor was also just a bit warped

I like to put up one post a day during the work week, and then one post over the weekend (unless it’s a crazy weekend). A blog post can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours, depending on whether or not my attention span is that of a goldfish that day.

You should subscribe to my blog because you need something to kill five minutes of your day with. It’s a quick, easy, and fun read and hopefully you’ll get a laugh or two out of it.
It also serves as a self-esteem booster to the reader some days, making you feel better that you aren’t me.

Don’t hold back. It’s your blog, and you should do with it as you wish. Readers like blunt honesty–not some sugar coated story. Be yourself. Have fun with it. But most importantly–don’t take yourself too seriously. Just roll with it.
