The PS22 Chorus blog showcases the accomplishments and talents of the fifth graders involved in the group, which is comprised of about 70 New York City public school children. They’ve sung for and with the amazing singers Judy Torres, Lena, and the legendary Tori Amos! After hearing them perform, Academy Award-winner Marcia Gay Harden invited them to sing at her home for her Christmas party. I am a music teacher in Public School 22 in Staten Island, New York.
I began the blog after receiving several requests from Tori Amos fans who were very interested in hearing the children’s interpretations of Tori Amos’ music.
