What exactly IS my blog? I wouldn’t call me a “daddy blogger”, even though I DO blog about my kids. I’m not a “story writer”, even though I have written a few stories. I guess I would best describe my blog as a place for me to vent, be creative and to allow you into my little life. I call it “pessimistic views from an optimistic person.” Aaaaaand that pretty much sums it up…

I work in the television industry. If you are watching a sporting event on tv, there’s a chance that I am there creating graphics for the game. It’s a fun gig…and it never gets old.

I don’t have any one topic that I write about. I write about whatever enters my head. And I started blogging when a friend recommended that I try it. True enough, I got hooked. Now I have 3 blogs! “A Round World” (which is my life, thoughts and other odds & ends), “Music Makes The World Go Round” (music topics & reviews) & “Popcorn And A Soda” (movie reviews).

I’ve been writing for a few years now. I started out writing a ton a week. Now I write when I feel I have something to say. I almost exhausted myself, trying to find things to write about. Now I look for quality topics instead of quantity.

This is a loaded question for one reason…Lady Gaga. Before I wrote about Lady Gaga in a random posting way back in early 2009, I was getting maybe a couple hundred a day. Now, with the aid of Google searches, that post alone gets over 1,500 itself every day. It’s kind of ridiculous, actually…

No income involved. I have a job, I don’t need the added pressure of trying to generate an income in a venue that I find to be somewhat relaxing & therapeutic.

I don’t know honestly and I really don’t pay too much attention to whether anyone likes me. I’ve met some really interesting people, made some friends, lost some readers. It’s all good. I write because I like too. I couldn’t tell you whether you’d be ingterested in my writing or not. Guess you’ll just have to check it out on your own…

It’s become less over time, however I write maybe 5 or 6 blogs a week between my 3 blogs. I’ve been trying to not exhaust myself with it. I want it to be fun, not another responsibility that I feel I HAVE to do.

Because I keep it short & sweet. I don’t write long and overly descriptive stories about my thoughts. I’m not overly complicated and I find that being that way makes me likable like that college buddy who visits every now and then but then leaves before he wears out his welcome.

Don’t overthink it. It’s not like people will identify with you right off the bat. And be creative but be true to who you are. And…in MY opinion…keep it short. Unless people know you personally, long-winded stories about your day just isn’t how most people want to fill their time.
