A Fine Imbalance- Amit Phansalkar

Amit Phansalkar

blogabout
Irreverent, Irrelevant, Indefatigable, and Mostly Charmless, asuph indulges in poetry (regularly), fiction (seldom) and parody (more often that he would like). And then there is absolutely unwanted social commentary to top it all. A Fine Imbalance is a potpourri of all this and more.

blogliving
By profession, I’m a software Engineer. Blogging is a catharsis. It’s a hobby that keeps me sane. And the fact that I don’t need to worry about relevance, money, fame, schedule … and so on, sets me free to right whatever I want, whenever I want.

whystartblog
There isn’t a topic. I blog when something just want to come out. When something someone said irks me enough to want to incoherently whine about it. Or when flash of inspiration strikes me, and I have to fictionalize it.

howlongblog
I’ve been maintaining a blog in community sites for a while, but shifted to individual blog more than four year ago.

howmany
Not really keeping the track.

income
The blog was never intended as revenue generating. It does not have income, and does not plan to go down the ad-sense way. It is essentially a window to the world, to get feedback on writing (creative), and express opinions, and share ideas.

interestedblog
Hard to say. The material here ranges from outright funny to very serious: fiction, poetry, parody, spoof, non-fiction, criticism, reviews, translations, cityscapes and so on. I would say, like minded people will be interested more or less, if at all.

howlongday
It completely depends on my primary workload, and other time pressures, as well as the good old inspiration. Still, on an average I spend ten hours a week, including writing, responding to comments, enhancements, and so on.

whysubscribeblog
My blog is mostly India centric, with focus on literary work: both prose and poetry, as well as reviews of books, translations of Marathi/Hindi texts, humor and parody, and so on. So anyone who is interested in Indian literature might want to check out if they find reasons to subscribe to this blog.

whatadvicebloggers
Blogging, for me, is more of a hobby. The reason why I do it, is because I enjoy doing it. I don’t have advice for anyone.
