We are a technology blog for the most part. Although we do occasionally touch on movies and TV, as long as it is in the Geek realm. We have 9 writers who are very into gadgets and cool stuff, and we try to put an interesting and fun spin on tech.
I work in Information Technology for a fortune 500 company. So I and the other writers do this for a hobby. Sometimes I try my best to even write at work, and that’s difficult when I’m busy. But we would certainly love to do this for a living. We would love the chance to test gadgets out, and go to technology events such as the one that Apple just had. Getting to report on the things we love would be a dream come true.
The motto of the blog is “Tech, Toys, and Gadgets… Geeking with reckless abandonment.” The title of Cow Bell Tech comes obviously from the Will Farrel skit on Saturday Night Live. It is his enthusiasm to cow bell that reflects our attitudes toward gadgets, computers, and all around geek stuff. So I wanted a forum where my friends and I could talk techie stuff, and it kind of took a life of its own. We love gadgets and I thought it would be great to have a place to see and discuss them.
We started in March of this year and have been working on it ever since. We try to post as much as we can every day, which can range from 7 to 15 posts a day.
Our blog brings about 50 to 70 visitors on average a day from all over the world. The most we’ve had was just under 300 visits in one day.
No our blog doesn’t have an income yet. We are waiting to perhaps become a little more established before getting into the market. We are looking forward to the day that we can have a little income from our blog.
I think anyone who likes to know about computers, gadgets, and fun geeky things would find our blog interesting. We like to have interaction with our readers and often talk with people from around the world. So if you have a love for technology, come check us out!
Well it’s kind of hard to say, since I try to do it through out my day. I guess if you add it all up, it would range between 2 to 3 hours. On weekends it certainly be more, depending on how much news we can find.
I think if you like to hear about gadgets, games, computers, and all around geeky stuff, we are your guys. We try to bring interesting topics up and put a fun spin on the story. We try to talk about tech that relates to most people, and we have stuff for the hardcore geek. Come check us out.
The only advise that I could give is to never stop blogging. Sometimes you feel like no one is reading you stuff, and you would be surprised to find out that they are. Just don’t give up, and update your content as much as you can, when you can.
