One guy with one big ear… trying to hear God with it.

I write my blog as a way to engage others in thoughtful dialogue about God and real world around us in an entertaining way. Then other times… I’m just a dork.

I help pastor a church (www.freedomhouse.ca), but my day job is at a radio station out of town. I began blogging as a way to make connection points to those in my circle of influence and it’s grown from there.

I started in April 2006

100ish. Depending on whether or not I resist the temptation to write about the world’s fattest man. You’d be surprised how many Google that guy every day.

No there is no income. But what it has done, is opened many new areas of influence. An old friend (or a friend of a friend) sees someone make a comment on facebook and it spurs debate or thought in their life. I’ve had more opportunities to speak or write in other arenas as well which is wonderful.

People who want to “get” how God can possibly be relevant in a modern societal context… and people who have a good sense of humor about it too

Depends on how much “real world” work I have in a day. But on an average day that I write, it’s about an hour process quite often.

Because one article or blog entry doesn’t tell a whole story. It’s a life blip. Blogs are wonderful because they tell a story over time about how one life interacts with the world around them. That comes with change, stupidity, brilliance, success and failure.

Realize… it’s just a blog. It’s not “life”. Don’t use it as an excuse to rip others. That will destroy your real life relationships. It’s not your diary. But real… but be smart
