I am a recent college graduate. I graduated from New Paltz with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration of Radio and Television production. I have always had websites growing up, but I have just recently started blogging. I tell myself it’s a hobby, but blogging can be very addictive.

I always enjoyed entering contests and promotions online. Especially since I am the type of person who never wins anything in real life. With the explosion of the internet came a wave of contests. Practically all online businesses have offered some sort of promotion or sweepstakes. It’s the oldest form of advertisement, and the best part of it is there are winners for each. So it just came natural to me to blog about something I was pretty interested in. I mean, who doesn’t want to win something?

The Prize Blog is about 8 months old. This is a very young age for a blog, but that’s the process. I look forward to being a blogger for multiple years. It makes you feel good when your archive list is unnaturally huge.

About 200 unique visits per day. I only look at the unique visits because it tends to be more accurate. Those visits however are separate from RSS feed subscribers. I have about 100 subscribers, and I believe that ultimately people view my site through RSS readers. Although I cater to actual site viewers too.

I think all the people that are ever bored while surfing the web. Homemakers, bloggers, college students, you name it, I think lots of people like to try to win something online. It’s an exciting idea. Same idea behind state lotteries.

I do work having to do with my blog about 5 hours a day. Whether it’s posting or tweaking I am always tinkering with the site somehow.

What can you lose? Honestly, you read headlines on contests and you can choose which one excites you. This choice delivered to you at least once a day. The odds are in your favor after awhile wouldn’t you think?

Be patient. Blogging isn’t about today it’s about yesterday and tomorrow. It’s all about existing and being a constant source of stimulating information. Anyone who wants to blog needs to understand that being patient is the most important element of being a blogger today.
