John Chow dot Com is the personal blog of John Chow, one of the Internet’s biggest and most famous bloggers. John Chow makes money online by telling people how much money he makes online.
The blog started out as a hobby but it has turn into a full blow brand. However, I still treat it like my hobby. While the blog does make more than a full time income ($40,000+ per month) John Chow dot Com isn’t what I do for a living.
The blog started out as a personal blog and as such, the topics I chose were all of interest to me. That’s why you’ll find a strange grouping. I doubt any other site will have Fine Dining and Make Money Online on the same blog. They are there because it’s what I’m interested in and passionate about.
The blog started on December 1, 2005.
The blog gets over 10,000 visitors per day. There are also over 50,000 that read John Chow dot Com on RSS and I have over 12,000 Twitter followers as well.
The makes over $40,000 per month. Most of that is from direct advertising. However, over the past year, affiliate marketing has taken on a bigger income roll. In addition, I’ve start to monetizing my newsletter.
The blog started with Google AdSense but duped it a long time ago for direct ad sales. I recommend http://johnchow.com/oiopublisher if you wish to try your hands at selling ads on your blog. My blog appeals to any bloggers looking to make money from blogging and the Internet in general. John Chow dot Com also serves as a source of inspiration for many people. If an immigrant, who English is a second language, can make $40K a month from blogging, why can’t you?

Over 50,000 people subscribe to John Chow dot Com. There must be a reason. OK, that’s not really a good reason (it’s just social proof). The real reason you should subscribe is because you’ll learn some stuff and be entertained at the same time.
Blogging is a not a get rich quick scheme. For the first 8 months of my blog’s life, it made nothing. Do not get discourage.
