Welcome to the Blogosphere- Travis Haynes

Travis Haynes
blogabout
I scour the Blogosphere looking for good blogs to review as well as any blog-related news to post about.

blogliving
Currently I only make enough to part-time blog. Very soon, however, it will become my full time occupation. If all goes as planned, that is.

whystartblog
I wanted to bring the Internet a hub of good blog sites. I don’t review just any (even if I’m offered money), only the blogs that are very well written and something I feel that is worth telling other people about.

howlongblog
I’m going on my third month. I hear most bloggers give up around then. I am doing well enough to where I will keep on going for a long time to come.

howmany
This is a very hard question to answer. It all depends on which stat program I look at. One might say 50 unique visitors, the other 150 unique visitors. This month I’ve averaged out to around 125 per day when I take in all the figures from all four stat counters I use, including Google Analytics.

income
I have a few sources of income on my blog: Google AdSense, paid reviews through ReviewMe dot com, and Pay Per Post dot com, and The News Room dot com. Google AdSense has been a bit of a let down as far as how much money it’s brought me. Too little to even get paid for as of yet. The latter sources, however, bring in a few extra bucks every week. One great way I’ve been making money with my site is by entering blog contests. Last week, for example, I won one hundred dollars from Financial Independence dot Net in a review contest.

Most of my income on blogging, however, is actually done for another already established company that pays me big $$ to write for them. They hired me after seeing my blog. They liked my style of writing and decided I was the right guy for the job.

interestedblog
All bloggers in general. I aim to have an indespensable site for bloggers looking for other good blogs as well as current events pertaining to the Blogosphere.

howlongday
I try to write at least once a day, however, as you can see, it doesn’t always happen that way. Most of the work on my site that I do is the actual searching for good blogs. You’d be amazed at how many absolutely horrible blogs exist that are polluting up our Blogosphere.

whysubscribeblog
So you can find out what other’s are blogging about. The Blogosphere is a huge social network and the only way for your blog to survive is to become heavily involved in that network. At Welcome to the Blogosphere dot Com I provide my readers with reviews of excellent blog sites as well as all the latest news that have hit the headlines regarding blogging.

Don’t give up. It’s a tough Blogosphere out there. Try to write each and every day and don’t be depressed when hardly anybody visits your site for the first few weeks or even months. It takes time. And when it happens, it’ll start taking off very quickly. If you keep at it, of course.

And if you’re looking to make money with it, don’t plan on making it big with your own site right away. It’s just like any other job out there. What man is capable of picking up a hammer and saw and instantly making it as a carpenter? You’ve got to get some experience first. There are blogs out there that are willing to pay to write for them. Finding them is just a matter of looking for them. They do exist. Trust me.

Most of all, though, don’t give up.
