A blog to help the newer blogger to get started, and to improve as they go. Advice, opinion and clear & simple ‘how-to’s’ on installing widgets etc.

Very much a hobby, but as I’ve gone along I’ve taken the opportunity to make some money – I’ll never be a millionaire doing this, but it’s already paid for my family to go on holiday this year which was a nice bonus.

I actually started my personal blog first, and was often posting tips & tweaks I’d found about blogging, before thinking ‘I could do a whole blog about this’. So I did.

Nearly 9 months.

Not enough! Between 70 and 100 on average.

Like I say, I’ve never really seriously monetized it, as I think it can become a little intrusive, and without massive traffic you’re never going to make a ton of money. A mixture of paid posting and Text Link Ads has resulted in a few thousand dollars, which isn’t bad. I didn’t start blogging for money, and it’s not why I continue, so it’s a nice bonus.

Anyone really, there’s a mixture of opinion to disagree with, tutorials on installing plugins etc, tips on new blogs/directories or Social Networking sites that may be of interest-something for everyone I hope.

I’m trying to be sensible now, and spend no more than 2 or 3 hours a day at it. When I first started, it was more like 8 or 9, but I guess we’ve all been there

So you don’t miss anything!

Keep going – there are certain things you need to do to promote your blog, but ultimately perseverance will get you the audience you deserve.
