My blog is essentially a random series of thoughts on diverse subjects. I was a regular newspaper columnist for two decades and the blog is something of a continuation of the general interest and humorous columns I wrote, and for which I won a number of journalism awards in Canada.

I am a freelance journalist, editor, business writer, and more. The blog is purely a hobby but one that gives me great pleasure. I also use it as a warm-up exercise for my other writing.

Because I am a compulsive writer and blogging gives me a satisfying outlet.

Since March of 2006, but I had two other blogs prior to this one.

It varies. Sometimes more than twenty, sometimes as few as three, depending on topic. But, I write on topics that are of interest to me, not necessarily to attract others. If I do, then I am delighted.

I don’t use my blog as a source of income, though I wouldn’t be averse to the idea.

I find I have blogging contacts of all ages, from young to seniors. I find that most who respond share interests similar to my own, and are basically educated at the same level, and the majority of my regular respondents are female, but with a few regular male respondents as well. I suspect the blogging demographic includes more females.

It varies, but rarely more than an hour.

I think it’s interesting, sometimes enlightening, and certainly attempts to be humorous.

Always consider your readers and offer subjects and approaches that would appeal to a wide range of readers. That’s the mark of any succssful writers. Also, endeavor to not offend needlessly.
