The Astonishing Adventures of Lord Likely follows the exploits of a Victorian lord, and his man-servant, as they solve mysteries, fight villains and go for drinks.

Writing the journals is, sadly, a non-paying, part-time activity. When not doing this, I work in a cinema, wishing I was elsewhere.

I find Victorians fascinating. I think it’s the fabulous moustaches, or the top hats that do it for me. Or maybe both. I also just wanted to write something silly, and fun. Which I hope it is.

The blog was started in February of this year, so that’s (counts on fingers)…uh, six months. Or, half a year, if you like.

It really varies. Usually, it hovers around fifty-sixty, but sometimes it nudges a couple of hundred, sometimes it’s only twenty or so. I think it depends on how naked his Lordship gets, as to the number of visitors.

I earn this much from the blog: nothing. But, in it’s short life-span, it does seem to have done rather well, and has secured itself a loyal readership. Which is very nice indeed, and better than money. (Sort of).

I try to update every other day, then spend the rest of my time trying to visit some of my favorite blogs and so on. I’m usually doing blog-related stuff for three hours or so a day, I reckon.

Well, his lordship’s adventures can last for days and weeks, and you really do not want to miss one chapter. You might miss him punching out a policeman, or seducing a lady. And you wouldn’t want that now, would you? NO.

Keep at it, really. Just keep blogging away, and find your own distinctive style and voice. Like-minded people will find you, then the word will spread. Like the flu, but nicer.
