blogabout
Irreverant humor aimed at the over 30 crowd, with laughs about life, sex, and being older and wiser.

blogliving
I’m a developer/programmer.

whystartblog
My blog is full of the wisecrack, no-BS things I think all the time. I created the blog as a way of meeting people who think the way I do. And I’ve found, to my delight, there are some really funny and intelligent people out there.

howlongblog
Just under six months.

howmany
According to my stats, 230-500, although I wish more of them would comment… I’d love to know who’s stalking me.

income
I’ve been very surprised at the success of the blog in terms of the comments and emails I get from people who love the humor on the site. I haven’t started trying to sell advertising, because the site is still pretty new and the pagerank isn’t high enough to command prices for it to be worth it. I’m not going to make my Bitter Readers look at ads until it would actually make enough to matter.

interestedblog
The humor is very adult… and by that I don’t mean it’s naughty, but rather that it’s a lot funnier if you’ve been around the block a bit. Originally my idea was to aim the humor at women, although I’ve been surprised and pleased at how many men seem to appreciate the site as well.

howlongday
Actual writing, about an hour, between this one and my ‘geek’ blog. I spend a lot longer than that visiting my blogroll blogs and looking for new humor bloggers to connect with, because I really want to build a sense of community, and not feel I’m just talking to myself. I try to be very conscious of my readers every time I post. So all that combined, I can easily spend 3-4 hours a day on blog days.

whysubscribeblog
My aim is to make you laugh or at least smile with every post. I vow to think about you, the reader, and not blog about blogging, about my health, my tragic pet loss, potty-training, or anything I myself consider tedious. If you’re a grown-up, I’ll bet you smile a little reading Blogging for Bitter Women.

whatadvicebloggers
Be consistent. Think of your audience. Resist the temptation to talk about yourself incessantly. Blog at least 4 times per week. Read/comment other blogs. Have fun with it! (If you don’t, your readers can tell.)
