Nick Chance, the Kid Reviewer, brings a 13-year-old’s perspective to product reviews of all kinds, including movie reviews, video game reviews, music reviews. Also, anything relating to kid blogs and kid blogging is discussed. Nearly all other reviewers are adults, and can’t begin to understand what kids really think.

I’m in middle school. I’ve also attended the Tampa Bay Writing Project writing camp the past two years. My blog is a way to practice writing and present a thoughtful kid’s perspective.

I love movies and books, and I love to write. It’s a natural. I was tired of seeing critics condemn a movie that I just walked out of with 8 friends and we all enjoyed it. I realized kid’s need to hear from other kid’s. And some parents might find my reviews helpful as well.

I’ve been blogging since March of 2007. I’m also a contributing writer to a blog for parents at www.gnmparents.com.

I get 20 - 30 valid visitors per day consistently.

No income yet, but I would be interested in sponsorships. I don’t like blogs that lose all their focus just to become a money machine, but I would like to make win-win connections. For example, I posted a banner for Dunkin Donuts on my site, cause I love donuts, and wouldn’t mind if they wanted to cover some of my costs. Same goes for products related to my topics, like movies, books, etc.

about 20 minutes per day at this point, but it spikes. It’s often spent answering email and keeping in touch with people who have visited kidreviewer.com.

To get something different! Most kid blogs are gossipy, silly things, ala myspace. But www.KidReviewer.com is a serious attempt at giving a kid’s perspective. It’s well constructed and written. It also provides good images and links to other resources, such as my Top Kid Bloggers post.

Write what you enjoy writing about. Commit to a certain amount of writing per week, and stick to it.

Interesting to see a 13 year old child blogging, especially when its a rather nice blog. I met a girl who was 12 and also a terrific blogger. Kids are so much smarter these days. When I was 12 and 13 years of age I was still playing cowboy and indians!.
