Great chefs are not born — they are created through a journey of trials and errors.
We, at Show Me The Curry are no different. We have had more than our share of cooking goof-ups, mishaps and faux pas. As two busy moms with barely enough time to breathe, we have learned some quick and handy techniques to save time and energy in the kitchen. We would love to show you how to avoid the mistakes we made.
Our goal is to provide you with a well tried, tested and liked version of different recipes. Never be scared to experiment and create your own version of anything you read here. Remember the key ingredient to any kind of cooking — have fun.
Join us on our adventure into South Asian Cuisine via our regular audio and video podcasts and enjoy the ride…

Both of us are full-time moms. As such, we struggle day to day to provide for our families. Cooking is definitely a hobby (almost passion) for us.

We started this website/blog as a means to connect with the world outside of our hectic lives. It made sense to venture into something we both care deeply about. Through our experiences with many people from different walks of life, we realized that there was a need for a visual aid when cooking.

From the first time the idea hit us, it has been about 6 to 7 months. Officially, we have been actively involved with our blog for about 3 months.

We are averaging about 500 visitors per day. It has been steadily increasing since we started.

There is no direct source of income other than advertising. We have tried google ads as well as Revver. We realize that we are a baby company and surely will take time to earn the big bucks!

Our blog is for anyone interested in cooking South Asian/Indian style cuisine. It is also for anyone who is turned off by the idea of reading boring recipes and for anyone who is intimidated by the thought of cooking something exotic. We take the fear out of cooking by giving step by step demonstrations and visuals. There is no more guessing what the dish is supposed to look like at any stage of preparation.

Our blog consists of video recipes, actual recipes and other things which have nothing to do with food. This means that we have to spend at least a minimum of 3-4 hours per day. On the days we film, we even have 12-14 hour days!

We feel we have a blog which is beneficial to many. Of course it is free. If anyone out there has ever wanted to attempt South Asian cooking but had a big fear, we are for them. We will take the mystery out of making delicious homemade dishes which you may have had in your favorite restaurants.

We believe that hard work and patience will pay off. The whole idea of blogging is based on a sense of community. Be generous about including other blogs in your blog and others will do you the same favor.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
I just want to tell you that I am just very new to blogging and site-building and absolutely savored you’re blog. Most likely I’m planning to bookmark your website . You amazingly have great writings. Kudos for revealing your blog.
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I don’t know who you are but certainly you are going to a famous blogger if you aren’t already
Cheers!
I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
Just wanna tell that this is very useful , Thanks for taking your time to write this.
