A source of encouragement, humor, and ideas for your home.
Frugal decorating tips, simple crafts, and tasty recipes are an added bonus.

I am a home manager and just started the adventure of homeschooling. Blogging is my creative outlet.

I love to write; I love to parent; and I love to create a beautiful environment for my family. Those three collided and the result is New Every Morning.

I’ve been blogging since Feb. 2008. It started as a way to write about my daily insights, but has grown into a great way to meet and converse with my readers.

Around 200

I do not receive any income from my blog, but I am ready to explore the possibility of advertisers. It’s the getting started that is the hardest part.

Most of my readers are women, with a few men braving the female frontier. The women come from all ages and stages of life.

Well, it depends on how many interruptions I have. ![]()
I am constantly looking for “blog fodder.” So much so that my kids will sometimes say, “you need to put this on your blog.”
Blogging can be as consuming as you allow it. I’ve had to put boundaries on myself. I have a busy life outside of my computer, so I try to keep a good perspective on my priorities. If I had to put a number on it, I would say an hour a day, on average.

New Every Morning is a place where readers will be encouraged. If you’re looking for a positive, fun site, this is it. You will find inspiration on marriage, parenting, home decorating, and an occasional great recipe.

Write about what you love. Don’t write just to have a post. If something touches your soul, write about it. Before you publish it, ask yourself, “if this were on someone else’s blog, would I take the time to read it?” Humor is an important ingredient. Even on deep topics, humor can be the cherry on top.

I’ve read this every day since it started & love it!
NEM is a blog full of ‘real’ stuff. If, after your visit, you think, “she seems to be a lot like me”, you’re right!

Aww! NEM is a great blog! Such a blessing and encouragement. The first post I ever read was on creating a good tone in the atmosphere in your home. I am passionate about that and was hooked after that first great post! There is always an encouraging word for your family or an idea for a recipe or decorating idea.
I lurve everything posted on NEM. It’s not so much the content, though that is great, but the voice and natural connection that the writer fosters between herself and her readers that I love.

What a great journal. I spend hours on the cyberspace reading blogs, about tons of different subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever built your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly consider there is a ability to writing articles that only a few posses and honestly you have it. The combination of demonstrative and upper-class content is decidedly super rarified with the massive amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
