A countdown of the awesomeness involved in moving 7000km across Canada from Vancouver to a small town on the tip of Newfoundland.

So many many many things but primarily I’m a journalist.

Once in your life you are thrown from the ordinary into a situation that blows your mind and you need to document it. This is mine. I laugh when I hear people complaining about moving to a new flat in the same city. Try moving your 8kg cat across Canada to a small town in Newfoundland, sight unseen. All we know is there are more moose than people, icebergs bring polar bears into town and the people sound awesome.

Since my wife got her job posting over there, so about five days ago. Considering we have 31 days to get there, we are going okay.

Me.

When blogging becomes my daily job, I’ll quit and get a real job.

Anyone interested in traveling and reading about a black cat called Sir Richard von Pinkenbar III and the awesomeness that is Newfoundland — seriously, have you seen the place?

Maybe an hour a day

It will make you laugh, it’ll make you cringe, you’ll learn new things every day about Newfoundland and maybe you to will want to just drop everything and live life outside your comfort zone.

Don’t take yourself too seriously. The chances of anyone reading your blog AND enjoying it is like trying to pee into a cup from a hot air balloon.
