Life Isn’t Over- Jeff Pickett

blogabout
Life Isn’t Over is about the ability to do whatever you want, regardless of age. We focus on health and nutrition as a means to the end. A healthy mind leads to healthy body and vice versa. We look at trends in fitness and diet and provide information so the reader can make up their own mind. Through real life examples of the author, we show that no matter the age, good health is attainable.

blogliving
During the day I am a marketer for a non-profit special needs hospital and school. The job has given me a reason to investigate social media and blogging so I can use it at my job as well. My blog is more than a hobby, but a passion. My ultimate goal is to help others as I have been helped in my life.

whystartblog
I started blogging about fitness, health, nutrition, etc. as a way to help others understand that it’s never too late to start a better life. My Grandfather lived a long life, but he could have lived even longer had he not fallen prey to diabetes and heart disease. I blog so that others can live longer – plain and simple.

howlongblog
I’ve been working on my blog for just about 2 years.

howmany
I average around 200 visits per day with a strong upward trend. On two days in February my blog was cited in a well known fitness blog which provided me over 1,000 hits on those days. I’d like to see that trend continue.

income
No income has been earned at this point. I’m still tweaking my writing, content, relevance, etc. so that one day I can do this full-time.

howlongday
I would say I spend about an hour each day blogging, but it depends on the topic. Some days it just comes to you and others I may have to struggle – or take the day off.

whysubscribeblog
I think people should subscribe to my blog because I believe in what I write from the perspective of a real person and not that of a corporate entity. I have been involved in fitness long enough to know about the myths and the junk to stay away from.

whatadvicebloggers
For anyone starting to blog, I’d say you simply need to write. Things may be awkward one day, but the only way you get better is to continue writing. Also, when you find your niche, seek out others in your area and build relationships with them on their blogs. It’s all about participation.
