There is Life after Infertility: if you give up hoping and dreaming you give up living!
I’m a Computer Literacy and Natural Science teacher at an inner city school in Pretoria, South Africa.
The blog started when I realized that I needed to write about my own experience with Infertility. I believe that writing has the ability to heal both the writer and the reader.
I started the blog during April 2007 – didn’t think I’d still be doing it, but I’m happy that I am.
It started at about 10 a day after the first month, and it has since grown to about 60 visits per day(July 2007).
No income – it’s just a personal blog.
Mostly people in the same situation that I am: in the stage of their life where there is no possibility of having children of their own, or being able to adopt. Childless or child free, whichever way they choose to view it. I’ve made online friends with a few women that are still in the process of trying to conceive, and since I’m trying to show that there is life after Infertility, and that it does not necessarily have to be terrible and sad. I also try to blog about being strong and positive and not to lose hope. Ever.
Sometimes less than an hour, sometimes up to 2 hours. It depends on the post I’m writing and the comments I’m answering with a comment on my blog and a return visit to those that commented on my blog.
I believe that there are posts on my blog, current and in future, that will mean something to someone out there. If it helps only one person not to lose hope or faith in their dreams, no matter what they are, then it would be wonderful!
Just be yourself, write what comes naturally, don’t try to copy someone else, and believe in your own creative ability.
