Places of interest I have personally visited in the UK, starting from Nottinghamshire. Full of coloured photographs and accurate details

I’m supposed to be retired but spend a lot of time writing. I submit features for the local talking newspaper for the blind each month, and am developing a range of childrens books

I just think the UK is fantastic and wanted to share my enthusiasm with other people!

I started this blog in January 2005

Around 30 per day, with quite a few regulars who come back frequently

I don’t make any money from my blog and have no connection with any of the places I visit

Those looking for a good day out, ex-pats wanting to think of ‘home’, and those learning English, as whilst there are around 5 pictures in each blog, the text is short and clear

I only blog when I’ve been somewhere I think other people would find interesting, so about twice a week on average, sometimes more in summer. Each blog takes about an hour to complete.

I think it’s very interesting and informative, and changes frequently

Be enthusiastic about whatever you’re talking about, and accurate.
