I blog for a living as well as make jewelry, so yeah, I guess you could say this is my job.
I take it seriously.

I originally started blogging as a way to keep in touch with my family back home in Maine after I moved to Florida.
It was how I kept in touch, let them know the kids and I were ok.
It turned into a hobby, and now a job that I love doing.
I love my blog, my readers, the friends I have made through blogging.

I’ve been blogging under the title My Single Mom Life since 1997.
It’s become a daily part of my life.

According to awstats, about 2,000 per day. It fluctuates month to month.
Sometimes more, sometimes less.

I’m all about monetizing my blog. I do paid product reviews, text link ads, and Amazon sales.
Many affiliate programs don’t work well for bloggers, but Amazon has been a consistent winner.
I really enjoy product reviews and have had great success with text links ads too.

I reach a wide variety of readers from other single moms to women in general.
I have a wide male reader base as well, and professionals, and other bloggers.

I’m always working on it in one way or another, from actually writing to visiting and commenting on other blogs, and all the various social networking sites.
If I’m awake, I’m working on it.

I cover so many topics, I am a straight shooter. You won’t find any saccharine coating on it.
I say what I think, and I blog what I say.

Be yourself. Blog for you first and foremost.
There will be many people who come along and tell you how to do, and what to do. Do what’s right for you. Blog about the things you love and be who you are. The readers will follow.
