An almost daily blog about my life as a Deaf Mom with 3 girls, who likes to make homemade jam, garden and yard sales. I post pictures and instructions on how to make and can jams, photos of bargain buys and tell about Deaf culture from time to time.
I am a stay at home about to Home School my oldest child. I keep busy chasing the girls around the house and around the garden. Blogging is an addiction/hobby.
I wanted to be a writer growing up and this is the next best thing! It’s a way for me to express myself and even sometimes get validated by hearing reader’s comments on my posts. I write about whatever strikes my fancy.
I started this Blog in April of 2007 and will continue as long as I can!

No income from my Blog, but maybe someday, I can make a living off my writing. Who knows?
I have met some wonderful people through this blog and I find that the majority are women with similar interests as me: Stay at home moms, crafty moms, deaf people, and people that like to shop yard sales and thrift shops. I have a few male readers, but I don’t hear from them as much.
Oooo.. I spend about 3 hours daily, reading blogs, typing up a post for my blog, or leaving comments on others. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
If you wanted to learn about canning foods or hearing a different point of view from a Deaf Mom, then this is the place to go! I like to think that I can teach a thing or two, and also learn a thing or two from comments that are left on my posts. I’ve been told I am funny, so chances are, you’ll also laugh from time to time!
Just start a blog and write about what you like! If you want to expand your visitors list, then you need to network a little and leave comments here and there on other people’s blogs. Or you can just write for yourself, never mind what other people think.
