Your one-stop site for fanatical television snarking, questionable political analysis, occasional attempts to address the parenting issues facing working mothers, and halfhearted promises to stop obsessing about the entertainment industry, already! Oh, not to mention the random bitching and moaning. There’s always that.

I’m a writer by day, momma and Guitar Hero superstar by night. My blog is the hobby I fit in between all the parenting and Guitar Hero…ing.

When I realized that my sanity demanded I find a job where comments such as “I hate English!”, “Shakespeare is SO gay!”, “Can I do extra credit?”, and “Wait. Will this be on the test?” were thankfully absent from the conversation, I broke up with the high school teaching profession and moved to DC to write regulations for the feds. Now I have more emotional energy to play with my kiddos and keep myself sane by working out The Crazy via my blog.

I’ve been blogging the snark since December of 2004.

I get anywhere from 3000 to 4800 hits per day.

Nope. Desperate Working Momma is strictly a hobby. I write novels and screenplays in my spare time, and the blog is my daily exercise in creative writing. Truthfully , I have no clue as to how other bloggers make money via blogging!

That’s tough. I’d say a person who has a snarky sense of humor, appreciates stories about the trials and tribs of marriage and family life, and enjoys obsessive television commentary.

Now that I’ve discovered video podcasting, it can be hours and hours into the night! Generally speaking, however, I’d say I spend at least one to two hours each day blogging.

Take me or leave me, see if I care! Because I totally don’t! Much! But if you enjoy passionate, crazy, outrageous, sarcastic, and sometimes surprisingly introspective writing, I’m your gal. I’m just saying.

I suppose that depends on a person’s definition of “succeed.” I blog as an outlet, and to improve my writing skills. With that end in mind, I’d say, “Write something–anything!–every day! Experiment. Take risks. Be honest.” If you are trying to make money at it…? Eh, I got nothing.
