My blog is named “Not Entirely British” because I’m from England but now living in America.
I’m an author who blogs about the differences between UK English and US English, British phrase origins, and household tips.
I also have a great “Spotlight the Youth” contest running until August 31st, with fabulous prizes.

I’m a home maker who writes books. I began writing many years ago as a hobby, but it grew and grew until I eventually had two books published. I have another one due out September, 2007.

I began blogging about being “Not Entirely British” because it seemed appropriate for my situation.
I also wanted a way of promoting my books, and reaching out to others around the world.
I’ve already found another expat now living in the US, and love visiting her blog and seeing all her pictures of England. A bit of nostalgia now and again is food for my soul.

I’ve only been working on my blog for a couple of weeks and have been astonished by the number of visitors.

According to my blog stats coming in from Statcounter.com I’m getting over 100 visitors a day–sometimes as much as 150.

I decided not to try the income aspect of blogging just yet. I’m so busy promoting my page and commenting on other blogs to build up traffic, that I have enough to do. Later, I’ll give it a whirl.

Writers, UK and US readers, young mothers who enjoy time-saving tips, and anyone who enjoys a good contest.

At least a couple of hours early in the morning before the day rushes in on me.

I feel people should subscribe to my blog because it provides useful, clean, and interesting information. I believe in keeping high standards, and giving visitors something in return for their time choosing to visit my blog.

My advice is to not quit trying if visitors don’t come at first. Keep finding other blogs written by people with similar interests to yourself. Click on people’s comments, and make some of your own on blogs far and wide in this amazing web. You’ll be surprised how many others find you.
You can also join online groups who enjoy similar hobbies to you. As you leave your signature (containing your blog link) on your group chat comments, others will be curious enough to click on it and discover your blog.

I have enjoyed reading Anne’s blog almost since she started. Keep up the good work Anne.
I may be the other expat Anne mentions in her excellent interview! We have exchanged some interesting notes over the past month about our respective original homes in England. We both love the counties of Devon and Cornwall and hold our memories of that special southwest corner of the British Isles close to our hearts.
Anne is a great blogger and I’m sure her books are fabulous.
Thanks for all the kitchen tips Anne – I’m trying them all!
