Blazing Minds- Karen Woodham

A blog of all sorts from blogging about everyday life to music, the internet and anything that tickles my fancy.
I try to blog as much as I can on my blog, I do run several other, but the Blazing Minds blog is the one where I really blog the most and have the most readers for.

I am a part musician and full music promoter, I started producing music way back in 1997 and have released several albums albums to date under the name Remergence, several years back I started my own record label to help myself and fellow artists get a foot hold on the first rung of the ladder and to get their music heard by new and old fans.

It’s not much of a topic as topics, I found that with my other blogs they are specially for one thing and I needed a blog that was just for me and so I started Blazing Minds, which allows me to blog about anything and everything.

Nearly a year now it’ll be my blogs “birthday” on 31st July, it’s been a great year of blogging and I can quite honestly say it’s been fun, it’s great when you get feedback via comments on your posts, which means a lot to me.

Now this varies, I usually get between 130 to 360 a day, the most been on a good day, return visitors are a welcome site as are new readers of the blog and I always like to encourage everyone to get involved with my posts.

I have Google adsense running on my blog which probably seems to bring in the most income as well as selling ads via a handy plugin and accepting payments via PayPal, donations are welcome, but they are usually far and few between.
So I would say that Google has probably been my best earner to date, I also occasional post via SocialSpark, but only what I think my readers would find of interest.
Everyone really, I try to blog about as much as I can, so you could say that my blog would be in a “Mixed Bag” category, I think it’s nice to have a wide range for your readers, there are plenty of “niche” sites out there and too many are usually SEO this or SEO that and I find that my readers like to be surprised by a post which could bring them something they would not normally read or be interested in.

Now that is the question! I usually blog once every two days, or sometimes once a day, on Blazing Minds but if you added up the time spent writing other blogs and guest posting I would say around two to three hours a day, sounds a lot but, time flies..

If you enjoy reading something new, interesting and maybe finding out some information on something you normally wouldn’t think about then this is the place to subscribe to.

Just blog about what you enjoy, don’t be taken in by following the millions that only blog about making money or improving website stats, just blog from the heart, enjoy yourself and don’t be afraid of posting whatever you want.
When visiting a blog, always try to comment, don’t add URL into the comments if you can help it, as majority of the time you’ll be classed as spammer, just leave a well written comment, after all if a blogger wants links then they’ll have comment love etc running on their blog.
