When I started this blog, I thought I could write interesting stories about my job as a sign maker. I soon found that I enjoyed writing more about my life experiences in daily life. The blog has recently evolved into my weight loss story.
Sign making is what I do, from design to installation. I enjoy running the sign shop, which I do for my parents.
When I started reading other blogs, I realized that I needed a niche to be interesting. The first thing that popped into my head was the fact that I’m a female sign maker.
I’ve been working on my blog for almost two years.
My blog receives seventy visitors every day. I’m sure it could be more, but I’ve been too busy to whore myself out.
I’ve never earned income from my blog nor have I tried. I’m only interested in getting the goop out of my brain so I can fill it back up with other mindless drivel.
I’m not really sure what kind of person would be interested in reading my blog. The group of readers I have are very eclectic, ranging from middle aged men to early 20’s women.
I spend at least an hour every day blogging. Sometimes more if time allows.
People should read my blog because I write from the heart. I’ve found that my writing is much better if it’s something I’ve lived.
I would suggest to any blogger who is trying to become successful at it, to just be themselves. If you are genuine, people will read what you write.

The thing I find interesting is yep, Crabby has 36 thumbs down. Of course part of those are the cheating votes (wasn’t it something like 17). Now what I am curious about is what has she done to piss people off? I think I have seen her be a little stern with someone once in a while but, for the most part, she just says welcome. So it would seem the current leader has decided a smear campaign is the way to go despite that it does not count against you and people know that. What I find intersting on her votes, she has about 33 percent (over 100 votes) against, 66 percent for. Kind of interesting. And you Sign, I have seen you do nothing but mention came see and vote a few times and yet you have a thumbs down. Is it people against gps or something?
I just think the current leader has more readers and the readers are not satisfied with taking number one but instead they want to kill everyone else. If I were picking which sites I wanted to read based on things I know which ones I would read.
Oh well, let them play nasty. Whatever.
Good luck sign, you are neck and neck there. It is a shame you both could not get 3rd as you both have a decent blog and seem to be great people to boot. I best stop biting my nails while I still have some left.
