blogabout
With the ink still wet on her divorce papers, this forty-something woman has a new career as a sous chef. Recently back from a stint in Prov, ON she’s returned to her hometown to meet family obligations. She’s prepping for her next gig assisting hopefully more tyrannical and genius Chefs.

blogliving
Working as a sous chef is my new (just six months old!) career. It came about as a result of taking some culinary training to better understand food and ingredients. When my husband left, I wanted to get back on my feet after five years of sheer agony of being force fed Samantha Stevens. My first gig was for six weeks in a burger joint with a Cook who wouldn’t stop grabbing my ass. Before this career - food not ass grabee - I worked twenty odd years with people in need, including running shelters, drop ins, food programs and soup kitchens.

whystartblog
The blog was set up to keep my friends and family informed about my first sous chef gig that was a seven hours drive from home, and them. Prov is on an island. No cell phones, slow mail delivery, and far, far away.

howlongblog
The blog was established in June of 2007. Entries are made daily, and as often as several times a day, depending on what’s happening in my real life that might be worth sharing.

howmany
I have NO idea but I know that at least six people visit almost daily. Maybe I can get some help setting up to track that information?

income
No. No income. I detest ads, commercials and pop ups so I wouldn’t inflict what I don’t like on friends or visitors.

interestedblog
Women struggling with being self sufficient and independent, anyone in the restaurant biz, forty somethings, men who want to get to know an independent career minded woman, anyone who loves the Food Network.

howlongday
Just an hour or two. I write one draft taken from a thought, idea, or topic of conversation that extends to or from other bloggers. Then I hit “publish”. Done.

whysubscribeblog
This blog offers a unique insider view of working in a kitchen with a gifted yet temperamental chef. It also delves into relationships that have been and are good, bad, disappointing and heartbreaking. It’s very little about divorce or sex as so many are. It’s more about personalities and challenges facing many boomers. I’m a late end boomer :)

whatadvicebloggers
Comment on other blogs and link your own in those comments. Post links to blogs you like. Don’t beg for comments, input or readership. That’s just embarrassing to watch.
